31st AUGUST 2008
In windiest conditions one Hype rider flew the flag for the team. Adam faced up against 20-25 km/h wingsand about 30 other riders in the 84km Elite Mens B Birrer Memorial.
After a fast and furious first 20 kms, 14 riders were left in the front bunch to battle it out for the rest of the day.
With 40km to go one rider from Armidale managed to sneak away from the bunch. From there a frantic chase of a one minute gap was played out within the rest of the front bunch.
In the final wash, the Armidale rider held into his margin, with 2 riders in the last kms sneaking 100m off the front of the bunch.
In the final dash to to line Adam picked up 4th place overall
The campaign for Grafton this year continues for Adam.
Great 4th place ride by Adam in 2008 Birrer Memorial
Great ride by Millhouse in
2008 QLD Crierium
26th October 2008
IA sunny Sunday afternoon saw the Hype boys front up for the 2008 QLD Criterium Titles. Present for this assult was Luke, Adam, and Millhouse.
After a great start, which saw Luke away in what turned out to be the winning break of 10 riders. This was short lived as his bike had other ideas as to his bike midrace had a fit and forced him to pull out.
After desperate attemps to cross the gap by both Millhouse and Adam, Adam was forced to pull out due to a stomach bug. This left poor Millhouse to fight for himself.
If a final dash for the line Millhouse finished up in about 16th place. Not a bad effort. That good for Millhouse to pull something out of the day.
A Good 5th Place ride by Adam in
(2008 Cunningham Classic)
2nd AUGUST 2008
In some of the coldest and windiest conditions seem for many years in The Cunningham Classic, two of the Hype flew the flag. Adam and Millhouse faced up against 30-35 km/h wings in the 100km Elite Mens B Cunningham Classic.
Millhouse put in a good ride but was forced to withdraw due to mechanical issues at the King of the Mountain.
In a battle, Adam, along with 14 other rides broke away from field over the King of the Mountain. With 35km to go 2 riders from Inverell managed to sneak away from the bunch. From there a 35km cat and mouse game was played out within the rest of the front bunch.
On the line the 2 rides managed to hold into there lead and cross ahead of the bunch. As for the bunch after a furious last 10km which saw the bunch tear itself apart one by one, Adam was left with a few riders to fight out the finish.
In the final dash to to line Adam picked up 5th place overall, after being caught by what was left of the breakaway bunch with a couple of kms from the finish.
All looks good for Grafton campaign for Adam.
